NIPR holds Masterclass on Writing Winning Public Statements 


The Rivers State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations is holding a Masterclass titled “Writing Winning Public Statements: What The Experts Say” on Thursday 4th of March 2021.


The programme will hold at the Institute’s office at POWA Complex, No. 11 Olumeni Street, Old GRA, Opposite EFCC zonal office, Port Harcourt, Rivers State from 2.00pm.

 

The Resource Persons are Dr. Jossy Nkwocha, Head of Corporate Communications at Indorama Eleme Petrochemicals Limited, and Barrister Karibi George, Director at the Rivers State Universal Basic Education Board. They are both Fellows of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).


This is part of the Institute’s Professional Development series aimed at training and perfecting the skills of public and private sector information managers, media, and public relations practitioners on writing impactful Press Releases, Press Statements, Public Service announcements, Communiques, Speeches, and other public statements.


This learning event is also open to PROs of professional bodies, corporate organizations, NGOs, and Government Ministries, Departments, and Agencies.  


Attendance is free.

Sahara Reporters Published That Imo Public Schools Charge Students N2,000 Per Subject To Allow Cheating During WAEC Exam

According to the news published by Sahara Reporters yesterday, some public secondary schools in Imo State are reportedly charging students N2,000 per subject to provide them with answers to questions in the ongoing West African Senior School Certificate Examination. The school owners met with students before the commencement of the examination where they informed them that they would provide the answers if each student paid N2,000 per subject.  A relative of the students, who spoke with our correspondent, said the schools claimed that majority of the students might fail because of the Coronavirus lockdown and unpreparedness for the examination.
